Your health and the health of those you love matters to us!
Monthly Preventive Focus: Vision Health
Did you know?…
It is best that everyone have at least a basic eye exam every year.
If you have diabetes, high blood pressure, glaucoma (or a family history of these) you should have a dilated eye exam at least once a year at an Ophthalmology or Optometry office.
If you are experiencing dry or red eyes, change in vision, spots, floaters, or any other eye concerns, reach out and we will discuss your next best steps in taking great care of those beautiful peepers!
The scoop on Sunglasses:
Warm sunshine is great, but those shades should do more than make you look cool. Protect your eyes from cancer, retina damage, sunburns, lid growths and more with these simple tips:
99-100% UVA/UVB protection
dark and expensive may NOT equal protected
Polarized is good for glare, but doesn’t mean UVA/UVB protection
Don’t forget the kids - their eyes need protection too!
Oversized is best to protect your eyes from all angles.
“A glimpse is not a vision. But to a man on a mountain road by night, a glimpse of the next three feet of road may matter more than a vision of the horizon.”

Community Prayer Walk
Time and Date: July 13, 2024 @ 6pm
We will be hosting a Community Prayer Walk starting at The Clinic - 506 N Maysville St.
Open Hands DPC exists to serve people like you and those you love - body, mind and spirit. As such, we will gather to pray over the families represented by those present and then disperse to take a walk (or drive) throughout our community while we pray collectively over our community, nation and world. If you cannot join in person, we welcome you to join in spirit from your part of our community.
Have an encouraging story to tell?
We’d LOVE to hear it!
As our newsletter grows, we would like to include real-life stories from you to share encouragement with all of us in the Open Hands DPC community. Email DrKelli@openhandsdpc.com to share your words of encouragement!
